Choosing the right fabric is the single most important decision in bag manufacturing. It dictates not only the cost but also the longevity and perceived value of your product. For OEM programs, we primarily work with three pillars of the industry.
1. Cotton Canvas: The Premium Choice
Canvas is the gold standard for high-end retail totes. Available in weights from 8oz to 16oz, it offers a soft touch and excellent print receptivity. It's ideal for fashion brands and corporate gifts where 'natural' meets 'luxury'.
2. Jute: The Sustainable Workhorse
Jute is favored for its rugged, artisanal texture and high breathability. As a 100% biodegradable fiber, it appeals to eco-conscious grocers and boutique retailers. It's tough, holds its shape, and has a lower carbon footprint than most synthetics.
3. Oxford Fabric: Built for Abuse
When durability is non-negotiable — such as in backpacks or travel duffels — Oxford fabric (especially 600D to 1680D) is the winner. It's water-resistant, highly abrasion-resistant, and perfect for commuter tech bags.
