Professional Bag Quality Inspection

Buyers usually only see two QC moments: the pre-production meeting and the inspection report before shipment. Inside the factory, quality is a running tally — here is the checklist that follows every style we produce.

1. Paper Bag Pre-Shipment Inspection Checks

For paper bags, the approved paper specification is checked before cutting: kraft or art paper stock, the agreed gsm, sheet or roll condition and batch shade consistency. The print proof and approved sample are the reference for print registration, colour match and surface finish such as lamination, spot UV or soft-touch coating.

  • Paper stock — confirm the selected material, gsm and batch against the approved specification.
  • Print and finish — check registration, colour match, foil or coating coverage and adhesion against the approved proof.
  • Handles and bonding — check handle pull, glue bond, reinforcement and bottom construction on the approved sample.
  • Dimensions and cleanliness — verify size, gussets, fold lines, hardware where specified, surface cleanliness and packing condition.

See the custom paper bag programme for the available material, handle, print and testing options, then send the approved specification for a factory quote.

2. Construction Checks on the Line

  1. Stitch density — typically 8–12 stitches per 3 cm; verified against the gold-seal sample
  2. Seam strength — stress points double- or triple-stitched, bartacks at strap roots
  3. Zipper function — every zipper run 5+ full cycles during assembly
  4. Alignment — zipper tracks, print panels and piping line up left and right
  5. Hardware fixing — rivets and screws torqued, magnetic snaps seated

3. The 14-Point Final Check

  • Zipper slider lock and pull function
  • Strap and handle pull (12–25 kg by program)
  • Lining integrity and pocket stitching
  • Print/embroidery registration and color match
  • Logo orientation on every panel
  • Hardware finish — no scratches, no rust spots
  • Edge paint / binding coverage
  • Weight within spec tolerance
  • Drop test on sampled pieces (luggage programs)
  • Wheel and handle cycles (trolley programs)
  • Interior cleanliness — no threads, stains or residue
  • Trim and label placement per tech pack
  • Hangtag, care label and barcode scan
  • Packing: polybag, carton strength, master carton marks

AQL: The Numbers Behind "Passed"

For bulk orders we inspect to AQL 2.5 / 4.0 critical-major-minor, or your own AQL if stricter. A random sample is pulled from packed cartons, checked against the approved sample, and the report is shared before loading. You can also book a third-party inspection — SGS or Intertek — on our floor.

Ask any factory for their defect classification table. A serious one will hand it over without hesitation.

Your Role in QC

The approved sample is the contract. Changes after approval — even "small" ones — need a re-confirmation round, or quality drifts silently. Sign off the sample, freeze the spec, and let the checklist do its job.
